The Lions Tears
by Olen Medvedevich
(Tune: Jack & Diane)

Here's a little story about a lioness
went out for a walk with her sergeants
Bandits surrounded but they took them head on
even though they were outnumbered four to one

Oh ya the lion's tears came down
when the sergeants began to hit the ground
Oh ya the lions tears did fall
as the sergeants went up to Odin's hall

Dying in defence of their inspiration
Bravely marching towards their ladies destination
The heavens poured to see their demise
The lioness captured was something they despised

Oh ya the lion's tears came down
when the sergeants began to hit the ground
Oh ya the lions tears did fall
as the sergeants went up to Odin's hall

Let it rain
Let it pour
A walk like this won't happen no more
The baron tried to help out as much as he could
But he got caught alone in the shadows of the wood

The lioness got a thorn in her paw
Called nine tricky Troubadours few people saw
They helped out the lioness
By holding her for ransom in their fortress

Oh ya the lion's tears came down
when the sergeants began to hit the ground
Oh ya the lions tears did fall
as the sergeants went up to Odin's hall

So now Amanda's walk is done
An era has ended like a setting sun
Just to have been there honour was won
The old guard have turned in but a new one's begun
