Vikings in the Okanagan Valley?

Yes. And we have proof.

If you look at this photo of Giantshead Mountain located in Summer's Land within the Shire of Danescombe, you will see the obvious carved image of a bearded Viking King. There he proudly faces out over his lands with a golden crown upon his head, gazing south over the Kingdom of An Tir.

When this image was carved into the raw stone of the mountain is unknown. Who the carvers were, or even the identity of the Viking King is still a mystery. But Shire Historians offer its existance as proof that Vikings founded the Shire of Danescombe.
